Pearl has always stood out from the flock. The others have always thought of her as someone who would never and could never be “a good, normal chicken.”

Rather than her mis-steps that are often clumsy and able to bring catastrophe, Pearl should be known for her heart that is kind and generous.

She asks for very little in return except maybe some scraps of pretty paper and cloth, or some ribbon and fancy things that have blown or been bumped out of the trash truck on Trash Truck Tuesday.

Pearl often thinks of herself as a performer and has put on comedy shows in her backyard garden. These involve singing and dancing and telling jokes.

Lately Pearl has decided that she should be a mystery-solving detective.
